You're probably tired of hearing my confessions by now, but that's tough. Yesterday I impressed myself. Knock off the ego jokes. But it's true.
Our scouts needed to finish up their personal fitness merit badge, so we had them performing their fitness tests (after a month of supposed practice and training) outside the church. We had an odd number of boys, so I "volunteered" to wrangle our biggest squirrel. I didn't have to perform the feats, but I decided to "provide a good example."
I haven't done push-ups (like I had resolved to do every day) for oh...a...few months. Needless to say, there was a one-minute time limit. I started out well. I pumped out a good dozen, but then had to stop and reprimand my partner, who was supposed to be counting for me, for throwing grass, sticks, and pine cones at the other boys. With the remaining time, I ripped out another eight for a total of twenty!
Now, to throw in some statistics, my total was higher than the mean and the median in this data set!
P.S. Pushing up 290-ish ( I haven't weighed in in a while) is a whole lot more difficult than pushing up 110.
